With 2015 already seeing movies records being broken, is it any surprise that Jurassic World has also joined in on the fun? The movie which was released last week, is the fourth film in the series and has now achieved the biggest worldwide box office opening weekend ever recorded.
Exhibitor Relations, the box office tracker company has estimated that Jurassic World has raked in over £329 million this past weekend, going well above what Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 achieved in 2011.
Although in North America the movie was $2 million short of Marvel’s The Avengers record of $207 million in 2012, but the popularity of the Jurassic Park franchise in China helped it to become the biggest worldwide box office opening ever.
