The sixth movie in the Mission: Impossible franchise looks like it is officially a go after Tom Cruise has agreed a deal and signed on the dotted line.
Reports had said that a ‘pay dispute’ had halted plans to start production, but this has now been rectified following advanced negotiations. The next film in the franchise, which follows last year’s Rogue Nation – a box office success, will once again be directed and written by Christopher McQuarrie.
We’re hearing that production was due to kick off in January, but now a spring 2017 start date is being mentioned.
At this point the film really doesn’t have much to offer apart from the typical stunt scenes it’s renowned for. In terms of actual depth in the storyline, don’t expect too much from Mr Cruise and his friends!
